A courtyard plan that works with the climate rather than against it
The house is arranged as two wings around a planted courtyard, so every principal room draws cross-ventilation from the bay. Ceilings run eleven feet on the ground floor; the stair is a single cast run with no visible support.
Materials were chosen for salt air: honed limestone, marine-grade aluminium windows, and a standing-seam roof rated to current Miami-Dade wind requirements.
